Two gorgeous weddings this weekend…

This is Ziggi.  He has been my best friend for 9 years.  He is moving to California tomorrow, and I will more than likely never see him again.

To help me always keep him in mind, I asked my good friend Tiffany Coker, of Avant Images, and my new friend Brett Birdsong, of Birdsong Photography, to create some portraits of me, Ziggi, and my other dog, Paper.  I knew the images they created would be beautiful, but I did not realize that they would touch my heart so deeply.  These images capture our personalities and our connection so well, they’re very moving to me.  After having these images taken, my deep appreciation for what we do has grown 100x.

A great part of photographing weddings is getting the chance to remain friends with the couples I photograph, it’s even easier to do so when they live right down the street from you!  Shelly and Aaron and their families are such wonderful people, it was an honor to be a part of this day with them.  They were married at Five Rivers in Mobile, AL.

The bride’s cake was one of the most delicious I’ve ever had, made by Buttercream Dreams of Mobile.  The Grooms cake…well, I don’t think I have tell you how good that was!
